The 2011 campaign started with a mild, dry Winter, followed by an exceptionnally dry Spring, particularly in April, which facilitated our work in the vineyard. These dry weather conditions enabled us to delay the first treatments as much as possible and mildew was not an issue during Spring. The weather turned cool and wet from mid July until mid August. The harvest started early on the 31st August. We had to work fast and the challenge was to pick the grapes at their optimum maturity and condition. The crop was of good quality, giving us a promising 2011 vintage. Winemaker's notes (Oct 2012)

Château de Tracy
Founded in 1396, Chateau de Tracy has been in the hands of the d’Assay family for 610 years, which is something of an achievement in itself. Now run by Juliette, located in the village of Tracy sur Loire the estate covers thirty two hectares under production, on flint and kimmeridgian limestone south west facing slopes overlooking the Loire. With an average age of twenty four years the vines produce significantly lower yields than is the norm in the appellation, making for wines of great intensity, complexity and finesse.
