Cooler area, longer ripening which gives wines with greater concentration and potential for aging. Darker denser black fruit nose, palate is fuller grippier, fleshy with great concentration of blackberry, damson, rich oak, very impressive.

Deep cherry red. Pure, dark-red aromas. Deep and thickly textured, deep-pile velvet but structured still. Along with along that fruit, there’s still a darker-fruited finesse and impressive length. Serious but not overoaked Dolcetto.

Lots of beautiful dark-fruit and walnut character. Full and dense with plenty of fruit and a long, flavorful finish. Drink now.

Robert Parker recently wrote: ' Consulting oenologist Beppe Caviola has been instrumental in ratcheting up the quality at this historic property. I can't think of too many estates that have made such significant strides in just the last few years.'
