Made from pure Sangiovese, spanning traditional and modern, this is an intensely aromatic Tuscan red with fine depth of fruit behind a polished veneer of spicy oak. Poggio Bonelli
A relatively large estate by Chianti standards, covering over 800 hectares of which 83 are under vine, located right in the heart of the classico district. Part of an investment portfolio the estate is run with little expense spared in the pursuit of making a truly representative wine of the region. This investment extends to the employment of Carlo Ferrini as oenologist, whose rather more deft touch these days, ensures that the true character of the region and the grape speaks through the wine.
