2007 MEURSAULT 1er Cru Charmes Domaine Henri Germain

2007 MEURSAULT 1er Cru Charmes Domaine Henri Germain

Grapes: Chardonnay  Origin: France, Burgundy
Lea & Sandeman review
Tight and mineral, stony and pure. 'Floats' well on the palate. Composed and quite rich, with a firm taut finish.

Other reviews and comments
Germain’s parcel crosses over dessous and dessus, mostly in the higher part, reaching almost to the top of the climat. The youngest of the vines are 35 years old. There is 20-25% new oak. Opens with a bright, linear strike onto a very straight, scintillating palate. Intense minerality here and very good concentration of refined, pear-scented fruit. Taut, long and stony. There is a core of ripeness here but this is an extremely poised and focused Charmes. Fine. From 2011/12.
Sarah Marsh MW, The Burgundy Briefing
A fresh, pure, airy and notably cool nose of citrus, floral notes and a hint of oak influence merges into detailed and delineated medium weight flavors that culminate in a lengthy finish of considerable depth plus a hint of backend minerality. This is a wine of harmony and purity that is very much worth considering. 2012+   90-93/100

Dense and smoky. Very tense and exciting. Real nerve and a hint of smoke. Racy. 2010-2014   17
