|Sub-district||Côte de Nuits|
Talcy perfumed and more acute aroma. Neat palate, firmly edged and with a hint of liquorice. It is very fresh (more malic here, which is accentuating the tannins a little). A shaley, lightly layered palate with an energetic finish. Particularly Good+. From 2014/15

Good deep red. Wilder, more meaty nose than the Craipillots. Then broad and full but less sweet on the palate, with smoke and stony mineral notes dominating fruit. Best today on the subtle, rising, youthfully austere finish. This will need more bottle aging than the Craipillots.

Domaine J. Confuron Cotetidot: Full Wine List and Profile
Vignerons since the seventeenth century, the Confuron family even have a strain of Pinot Noir named after them - Pinot Confuron. The domaine has several Grands Crus vineyards as well as the Premier Cru vineyard of Les Suchots, making it one of the very top domaines of the Côte de Nuits. Yves Confuron follows his family tradition of whole-bunch fermentation, giving an extra scent on the nose due to the stems of the grapes remaining intact, and picking very late. One of the strengths of Confuron Cotetidot wines is their ability to age and develop, due to the low yields and old vines that are used, causing them to be more approachable in the medium to long term.
