Lea & Sandeman review
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Francand 5% Petit Verdot. Good crunchy fruit, damson with a pure texture of tannin. Very good cassis finale. Could be good value. 89-90/100Other reviews and comments
Dense purple-red, densely concentrated but elegant blackcurrant Cabernet nose, rich blackcurrants and quite earthy fruit on the palate, a bit four-square now but has a good future. Drink 2015-24.

Perfumed, with hints of spices and currant. Full-bodied, with juicy tannins and a fruity finish. Clean and racy. A lot going on.

A dense, blackberry, earthy nose with touches of dried herbs and gravel. Nice definition and fruit intensity to back it up. The palate is medium-bodied, quite austere on the entry, but nicely balanced with some fine tertiary, red-berried fruit. Masculine on the dry finish. Good potential but it needs to loosen up. Tasted twice – nice weight of fruit here...watch this one!

Dark healthy crimson. Opulent ripeness on the nose. Sweetness on the front palate that is very pleasing without seeming forced, followed by thoroughly ripe tannins. Slightly tarry note on the finish – very dry finish – but much more opulent than many Margaux. 2017-24

Another sleeper of the vintage, this beautifully plump, fleshy, corpulent 2008 exhibits a dense ruby/purple color as well as sweet blue and black fruit, smoke, earth and forest floor characteristics. Medium-bodied with outstanding concentration, purity and texture, it can be drunk now and over the next decade. 2011-2021
