2008 HERRINGBONE HILLS Pinot Noir
2008 HERRINGBONE HILLS Pinot Noir
| Grapes: Pinot Noir | Origin: New Zealand, South Island |
Lea & Sandeman review
From Marlborough at the northern tip of New Zealand’s South Island – this juicy, up-front Pinot delivers lovely, plump red fruit and tasty black pepper spice. The glossy sheen stops well short of jamminess and this makes a delightful – excellent value Pinot Noir. A rare treat in a sea of charmless, sweet, thick 'fruit-soups' usually found at this level.| Purchasing options | |||||||

2010 CANTERBURY Pinot Noir The Crater Rim
Waipara South Island New Zealand
"Back in stock after a momentary hiatus. From now on the Crater Rim 'Canterbury' Pinot is sourced from basalt soils on the peninsula formed by one side of the 'crater rim' itself of the huge volcano in Waipara. A slightly broader, denser style than the 2009, it is full and long on the finish."

2008 BLACK ESTATE Pinot Noir
Waipara South Island New Zealand
"A very fine Pinot with lovely tight structure not unlike one of Francois Lumpp's Premier Cru Givrys but with a hint of New World ripe fruit. Fermented using wild yeasts and left on the skins for almost a month prior to pressing and tranferring to barrel."
