More iron in soil and sometimes Yves feels he tastes this. Iron rich clay. Crushed black cherry aroma. Sweet and succulent, it glides in a rich satin ribbon across the palate. The tannins are firmly smooth and it very harmonious. It focuses to a dark and vivid fruit finish. A surprisingly supple and elegant Arvelets. Particularly good, possibly fine. From 2015

This has a lifted nose of wild strawberry, hedgerow and dark cherry, although it just lacks the definition that I was expecting, although with aeration there is a greenness that begins to develop. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, but again, there is some under-ripe fruit here with an austere finish.

Veggy, autumnal nose and then light and fresh and almost lean but true and not mucked about.

Medium red. Strawberry and smoke on the nose, lifted by pepper and spice nuances. Sweet and aromatic but firm in the mouth, with hints of iron and fresh blood. Nicely delineated if slightly rustic wine, finishing with a firm spine of tannins, noteworthy mineral grip and lingering perfume.
