Lea & Sandeman review
All the contadictory greatness of a wine from a top terroir. A touch of sweetness, lovely weight, but without heaviness, it seems pure, weightless, so perfect is the balance between the power and precision. Mineral, intense too. Exceptional. From 2015.Other reviews and comments
A broad-based nose of citrus, pear, white peach and apricot hints where the citrus character carries over to the pure, delineated and sappy medium-bodied flavors that possess good mid-palate concentration and solid dry extract levels that buffer the firm acidity on the long, energetic and impressively deep finish that is given added lift by the evident minerality. The backend is presently rather linear but I suspect that it will not require much time for it to flesh out. 2014+

The Grandes Ruchottes has a very impressive bouquet with touches of lemon curd and white peach, fine underlying mineralité that takes a couple of minutes to peak its head over the parapet. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity on the entry, notes of citrus lemon, white peach and dried apricot, a hint of spice towards the finish with good length, if not quite the weight of other Chassagnes. Still, this is very fine.
