2009 CHÂTEAU MONTAIGUILLON Montagne Saint Emilion
| Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Cabernet Franc | Origin: France, Bordeaux |
Lea & Sandeman review
60% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Cabernet Franc. 2009 Marked the family's 60th vintage at Montaiguillon, and it is as exceptional as the reputation of the vintage suggests. Very rich and velvety, the sweetness of the fruit and suppleness of the ripe tannins making for a wine that can be drunk young on the fruit or cellared. They were lucky in 2009 to have such a high proportion of Cabernets which resisted the heat very well.| Purchasing options | |||||||||||||||
