Other reviews and comments
Grapes from the estate, but also purchased grapes from East facing slopes, where the top soil is thin and the bedrock near the surface. Floral, almost blossomy aroma coupled with red fruit. Elegant and light toned on the palate with a streamlined profile and pure red fruit, silky tannins and some mineral and apricot kernal on the finish. Lovely. Good+. From late 2012

(Drouhin indicated that this has a high percentage of declassified Beaune 1ers in it). A very fresh red pinot fruit nose is nuanced by floral and spice hints as well as a touch of the sauvage that can also be found on the lightly mineral-suffused middle weight flavors that possess fine complexity on the slightly firmer finish. Lovely and worth a look. 2014+
