MONEY WEEK WINE OF THE WEEK - Matthew Jukes "I thought I would limit myself to one incredible wine... this very special red Burgundy... (From) two beautiful parcels of vines in Corgoloin - one with 35-year-old vines and another whose vines are over 60... They must be very proud of their work because this delicious 2009 is finer than any CdNV I have ever tasted. Poured blind I would swear it was an established well-known domaine's wine from a redoubtable vineyard and with a price tag nearer £50 than £20.

From two parcels of vines in Corgoloin, south of Nuits. One has thirty-five year old vines, the others are over sixty years old. Immediate silky class that tells of its Côte de Nuits origin. Chambolle-like elegance and silky delicacy combined with fullish body and black fruit flavours.
Mixed Cases
Charles has unearthed an absolute gem from the Nuits St Georges hinterland. A wonderful estate run by Belgian Burgundy enthusiasts - father and son, Mark and Gilles Moustie - who went from family holidays spent among the vines to tending some vines of their own. Whenever we've shown these wines just lately they have met with excited praise.
This case contains a trio of the awesome 2009's that drew us to the estate in the first place, along with a slightly more measured 2008 for contrast.
