This is Cachaca (Brazilian rhum agricole) 'par excellence'. Not simply the base to possibly the best Caipirinha you will ever drink, but good enough too to drink as a fine spirit on its own. (Caipirinha: muddle fresh limes with sugar in a glass, add crushed ice and top with cachaca. Drink, and dance the night away).
