Best wines to drink with Grouse
The glorious 12th is upon us! Menus and dinner tables across the land will now be peppered with gamey delights. Grouse is first up and, while the season has been tricky, it won't be long before you see it creeping onto the London restaurant scene.
What on earth to pair with (arguably) Britain's most delicious game bird? Well, you simply can't beat good red Burgundy. Here is a tried and tested selection of juicy, aromatic Pinot to match perfectly with all your gamey creations. Don't rule out the new world either. In Rippon and Bodega Chacra we have two very fine examples that really give Burgundy a run for its money. If Pinot is not your thing, do not despair. Grouse also goes well with brightly fruited Sangiovese, Langhe Nebbiolo and Etna's noble variety Nerello Mascalese, and even Blanc de Noir Champagne.
Mix and match any dozen bottles to get case price or, take the hassle out of choosing with our 'Good With Grouse' mixed six. With £20 off and free delivery, there's never been a better excuse to host a dinner party!
