Piedmont

If Tuscany were Italy’s Bordeaux, Piedmont would surely be its Burgundy. The wines, especially those made from Nebbiolo, have a more sensual ethereal character and appeal to passionate devotees whilst, occasionally, puzzling the uninitiated. That said, they taste nothing like Burgundy.
