White Burgundy
Some of the greatest white wines on Earth are produced along the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. With such high demand for relatively small production, these remain the stuff of special occasions. But there is more to white Burgundy than grand Montrachets and Meursaults, with many more affordable offerings coming from Chablis in the north, the Mâconnais in the south and the Côte Chalonnaise in between. Even the fabled Côte d’Or can be persuaded to offer up some everyday value to the canny buyer.
