This has a lovely little subtle sweetness. Really juicy with mineral underpinnings, and the intensity of the acidity of 2020 making it citrussy and fresh.

Again there's terrific volume on the front, giving a sleek feel, and as usual there's the driving mineral making a long shining arc through the palate. Fine and long.

A 'quiet' gentle nose with a scent not unlike oatmeal. More refined that the Narvaux, it's all about tension and length, with a very citrussy acidity giving prodigious length.

As so often, the Poruzots is tightly-packed and dense and powerful. Hard to read in its youth, but in the end it always finds the same level of expressiveness as the other Premiers Crus.

A sweet edge to the attack here, juice like the Luraule follows, and here there's more power and mineral intensity. Sherbety, mineral, sleek and long.

Just as much as the Poruzot is compact at this stage, the Genevrières is almost opulent, generous and suave, even showy. Punch and power on the finish.
