This has a lovely little subtle sweetness. Really juicy with mineral underpinnings, and the intensity of the acidity of 2020 making it citrussy and fresh.

More density and richness, a powerfully concentrated wine with an intense finish that is almost eye-watering at this young stage.

Again there's terrific volume on the front, giving a sleek feel, and as usual there's the driving mineral making a long shining arc through the palate. Fine and long.

As so often, the Poruzots is tightly-packed and dense and powerful. Hard to read in its youth, but in the end it always finds the same level of expressiveness as the other Premiers Crus.

A sweet edge to the attack here, juice like the Luraule follows, and here there's more power and mineral intensity. Sherbety, mineral, sleek and long.

Just as much as the Poruzot is compact at this stage, the Genevrières is almost opulent, generous and suave, even showy. Punch and power on the finish.

Rémi continues to experiment with longer élevages, this wine being kept an extra year in wood - it will be fined and filtered in December 2022 for bottling in January. It's a huge and slow-moving...(read more)
