Chassagne Montrachet

Nearly ready for bottling when we saw it, an immediate expressive white fruit nose, supple palate with that citrus juice enlivening it.

A more composed and refined village wine, with less obvious fruit, nicely rich in the mid-palate, still with the vintage's citrussy notes in the background. Nicely done.

Complex aromas of dried apples, apricots, basil and matchstick. Full-bodied with layers of fruit and a fascinating combination of ripe fruit, smoke and lemon grass. Long and very flavorful. Drink or hold.
