The top right-hand corner is home to some of Italy’s brightest white wine talent. Friuli, in particular, hosts a patchwork of both indigenous varieties like Friulano (the re-named Tocai) and Ribolla Gialla alongside international standards like Chardonnay. Pinot Grigio (Gris) is popular and at its best in this part of the world, and includes delightful coppery-pink “Ramato” wines.
