2022 BOURGOGNE ROUGE 'Escargot' Damien Martin
Mâconnais Burgundy France 13% Red
Pinot Noir.
This has a lovely deep centre of raspberry, cherry and damson fruit chased up by a brisk crispness that makes it incredibly refreshing. One that would be delicious with a pot-roast partridge, baked aubergine or grouse.
L&S2022 BOURGOGNE PINOT NOIR Domaine Agnès, Didier & Florent Dauvissat
Burgundy France 12.5% Red
Pinot Noir.
Lightish crimson. Fragrant, peppery, stony, dark-red fruit. This is lovely, a serious Bourgogne, firm but supple tannins, real depth. GV
Julia Harding MW, www.JancisRobinson.com2022 PETIT CHABLIS Les Deux Terres Domaine Agnès, Didier & Florent Dauvissat
Chablis Burgundy France 12% White
Chardonnay.
Two plots – Les Deux Terres – one more limestone, one more clay.
Nice, fresh lemony nose. Good weight to the fruit on the palate, lemons and spritzy green apples. Very harmonious. Lovely aperitif wine.

Neal Martin, www.vinous.com2021 COTEAUX BOURGUIGNONS Domaine Lignier-Michelot
Côte d'Or Burgundy France 12.5% Red
Pinot Noir.
A new cuvée from Virgile for the 2021 vintage, this is a pure Pinot Noir, and he's made in in an intentionally 'glou-glou' style. Good colour, fresh fruity nose, sappy palate, a delight.
L&S2021 SAINT VÉRAN En Crèches Domaine Barraud
Mâconnais Burgundy France 13.5% White
Chardonnay.
Greener and livelier than the 'Arpège' cuvée, more citrus and lift here. Elegant, with a scrape of limestone giving it a bright firm finish.
L&S2021 POUILLY FUISSÉ Alliance-Vergisson Domaine Barraud
Mâconnais Burgundy France 13.5% White
Chardonnay.
Slightly paler than the 'Pommards', a little more green in the colour. Fresh nose, and like the others this stays fresh on the palate, medium-weight, elegant from a juicy finale.
L&S2021 RULLY ROUGE La Barre Domaine Ninot
Côte Chalonnaise Burgundy France 14% Red
Pinot Noir.
The style of the domaine is for dark wines with good richness, and this is all here, but it's fresher and tauter than the 2020, with a fruit given a higher tone and length by the fresher acidity.
L&S2022 RULLY Rouge Chaponnière P & M Jacqueson
Côte Chalonnaise Burgundy France 13.5% Red
Pinot Noir.
Bottled last week and no dimming the lovely nose. Very inviting waft of flower blooms and Pinot fruit. Warm red berries. Fresh attack with cool acid and lovely push. Fruit is quite broad in the middle - but still quite p...(read more)
