Château Laroque is in Arsac, and its six hectares of vines neighbour those of Grand Crus such as Château Rauzan Ségla, Château Prieuré Lichine, Château du Tertre, Château Giscours and Château d’Issan. It is composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. It is under the ownership of Éric Léglise, who also owns Château Le Coteau.

The vineyard is all worked by ploughing and no insecticides or herbicides are used. All the harvesting is by hand, and the wine is made in traditional fashion, with daily pump-overs during the 8-10 days of fermentation. The wine then stays on the skins for around three weeks before ageing in a mix of tank and barrel.
