Desbons
Desbons fruit liqueurs are made by the Jean Boyer company in south-west France using traditional methods to produce truly artisan products. The extraordinary concentration and fruit integrity is a result of the use of the very best fruit and strict adherence to methods of liqueur production handed down over centuries. The immense concentration is achievable because of the percentage of fruit per litre of spirit - the smallest possible quantity of alcohol is used, so that the fruits are just covered. 750g of blackcurrants, macerated for seven weeks, are used to produce each litre of liqueur. The "Cuvée des Deux Cassis"refers to the two varietals of blackcurrant that are used - the “Royal de Naples” which adds fruitiness, and the “Noir de Bourgogne” for body and structure.
