Mas Amiel is an emblematic historic estate in Roussillon, founded in 1816. Based in Maury, the domaine is fully certified organic and biodynamic, and now produces a range of wines expressing different facets of the Maury terroir, shaped by the surrounding mountains both through marked diurnal temperature variation in summer and through its geological heritage of unique calcoschist soils – giving the wines their signature expressive fruit, excellent freshness and minerality. This terroir, together with the two hundred years of expertise of the Mas Amiel team, is the reason why the estate has become known as a French benchmark for fortified wines: Vins Doux Naturels.
