Vincent Carême was working in South Africa, gaining a little New World insight into Chenin Blanc, when he met his wife Tania. Together they settled back in Vouvray in 1999, initially renting, then buying and, later, inheriting vineyards. The jewel in their crown must be the Le Clos vineyard that they have had since 2003.
