The nose has filled out a bit with some nice sweet black fruits showing. The mid palate is rich ripe and sweet, layers of flavour giving complexity and although there are hints of hazel nuts on the back palate the finish is lush and sweet fruited yet has a stylish elegance. 2013-20 Rating: 93 Derek Smedley MW, www.dereksmedleymw.co.uk (Dec 2013)

*Case Price: Mix any 12 bottles of wine or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits or Fortified to get the 'case price' for each bottle.

Not as intense a crimson as the 1980. Quite a wide colourless rim. Burnt, sweet, almost charred nose. The overwhelming impression is one of slightly simple sweetness. Can’t see any tannins left here – until the very end. Jewel-like – sort of rubies in a glass. Exceptionally rich and on the finish quite delicate in fact. Rating: 18 Jancis Robinson MW OBE - www.JancisRobinson.com (Aug 2010)
