Very deep colour. Greatly pungent on the herbal, citric nose, but showing fair integration for its age and fine balance indeed on the palate. Less sweetness-driven wine than many Malmseys, with no excesses of bitter wood. This is surely one of the better wines tasted at D’Oliveiras this year, especially for its relatively modest age.
