Altogether a bigger and more complete wine than the Costa Grimaldi. Bitter sweet fruit with fine chewy tannins this will develop very well over the years. L&S (Mar 2005)

The enormously concentrated, dense ruby-coloured 1998 Barolo Cannubi possesses stunningly concentrated black cherry fruit intermixed with truffes, graphite, asphalte, and smoke. Extremely full-bodied, super-powerful, and palate-staining in its richness and dense flavours, it is the most obviously tannic offering of this trio, as well as the most concentrated.
