Château Croizet Bages

Pauillac Cinquième cru 1855 The Croizet brothers assembled their estate on the Bages plateau during the 18th Century. In 1942 it was purchased by Paul Quié (who went to buy Rauzan-Gassies in Margaux 4 years later) and Croizet Bages is now in the hands of the third generation of the Quié family. There is no château as such (the family live at another of their properties, Château Bel Orme Tronquoy de Lalande). There are just under 30ha of vines given over to 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc. The Grand Vin spends 12 months in wood, of which 25% is new.
