At several tastings, this wine was disappointing, despite the fact that the winemaking consultant is Stephane Derenoncourt’s wife, Christine. Deep ruby-colored, but light, diluted, and lacking concentration and depth, this blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc needs to be drunk during its first 7-8 years of life. Rating: 85 Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, www.RobertParker.com (Jul 2010)

Medium ruby. Aromatic nose offers kirsch, cassis, violet and dark chocolate. Sweet, supple and stuffed with fresh dark berry fruit. A faintly medicinal, minty character suggests medium ripeness, and yet there's very good mid-palate texture here. Finishes with building, slightly tough tannins. Rating: 87-89 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (May 2005)
