Inky black. Round and quite thick. Very pure black cherry and ripe plum, very silky tannins give volume. Perfumed and opulent silk velvet texture, rich full and pure. The blackest of fruits and minerals. One of the top Saint Emilions without a doubt. Lovely richly purple pure length. Rating: 93 L&S (Apr 2009)

Massively deep purple. Complex nose draws you in. Very rich and sweet and seductive with excellent oak management. This is pure right-bank seduction with some hint of cordite on the finish. Bright ruby-red. Superripe, musky aromas of black cherry, minerals and flowers. Lush and silky but quite backward, with excellent energy to the primary dark fruit and mineral flavors.
