Ruby red. Enticing aromas of ripe plum, cassis and chocolatey torrefaction. Then rather tight and austere in the mouth but still suave and smooth, with moderately ripe plum and spicy blackberry flavors. The moderately persistent finish shows a touch of greenness. Rating: 85-88 Ian d'Agata, www.vinousmedia.com (May 2012)

Château Angludet

The wine estate of Château Angludet belongs to the Sichel family, wine merchants in Bordeaux for six generations. Situated in the Médoc on gravel deposits from the Garonne, the estate produces excellent wines under the Margaux appellation, which are often put on a par with a Grands Crus Classés in terms of quality.
