The 'second wine' produced on the Saint Emilion property of Jacques and Fiona ('Le Pin') Thienpont, which they bought in 2009. The vineyard is high up on the top of the limestone ridge of Saint Emilion, next to Troplong Mondot. This 2012 has a dark soft-fruited nose, a suprisingly volume on the front of the palate, rich supple body and good juice from the mid-palate which makes one long to swallow. All in all rather gorgeous. Drinking range: 2015 - 2020 L&S (Nov 2016)
