Tasting superbly at the Lea & Sandeman Summer party. Pretty, floral, blueberry and petals. Ever so slightly chilled the volume and structure here are perfectly countered by the fine lines and a cool edge. Beautifully bright and perfectly measured Red Burgundy - far more sophisticated than the simple Bourgogne moniker might lead you to believe! This is totally charming. Serve at cellar temperature to really enjoy this stylish Pinot Noir expression. Drinking range: 2017 - 2020 L&S (Aug 2018)

Dense and a little hidden but with lots of interest and substance. Drinking range: 2016 - 2019 Rating: 16.5 Jancis Robinson MW OBE - www.JancisRobinson.com(Jan 2015)

(30% new oak). A lightly spiced nose features notes of various red berries and soft earth and humus nuances. There is a bit more volume to the moderately rustic barely middle weight flavors that possess reasonably good depth and length for a wine at this level. This should also drink well young. 2016+ Rating: 85-87 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com(Jan 2015)

The 2013 Bourgogne Rouge has an attractive bouquet, quite floral but it takes around five minutes to really get going. The palate is medium-bodied with taut, slightly chalky tannin and an appealing blackberry and cranberry finish. Sure, it's just a bit ephemeral, but it will give two or three year's easy-drinking pleasure. Drinking range: 2015 - 2027 Rating: 85-87 Neal Martin, www.robertparker.com(Dec 2014)

20 barrels from 3 parcels in Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges. 20-25 year old vines. They have Glagnipy (on the plain, below the railway.); Les Champs d’Argent and Les Paquiers. Light colour. Slightly darker red fruit; quite sweet and juicy. Light-bodied with a bite at the end. Somewhat more tannin here.Sarah Marsh MW, The Burgundy Briefing(Nov 2014)

Domaine Anne Gros

Anne Gros is quietly meticulous and almost obsessive about cleanliness in her cellar, which perhaps is reflected in the delicacy and restrained tension in her wines, which have aromatic clarity, limpid precision, sheer joie de vivre, lively balance and persistence.
