|Sub-district||Côte de Nuits|
|Village||Morey Saint Denis|
|Vineyard||La Rue de Vergy|
Attractive, quite full on the palate with balance and juice, but it was a little flattened by a recent SO2 adjustment when I tasted, and I'd expect it to put on weight and distinctiveness. Drinking range: 2019 - L&S (Nov 2014)
*Case Price: Mix any 12 bottles of wine or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits or Fortified to get the 'case price' for each bottle.
Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot
Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” Visit Website
Perrot-Minot's 2013 Morey-Saint-Denis La Rue de Vergy is bright, focused and nicely delineated in the glass. Freshly cut flowers, red cherries, stone fruits, mint and slate all pulse with energy and salinity in this high-toned, aromatically expressive Burgundy. Readers will find all of the signatures of the vintage here. Drinking range: 2018 - 2025 Rating: 89-91 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Apr 2015)
Deep, bright red. Enticing aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and cherry accented by subtle spices and rose petal. Supple and fine-grained, showing good finesse to its fruit and spice flavors. Has the tannic spine to provide for a decade or more of useful life. Drinking range: 2018 - 2025 Rating: 88-90 Stephen Tanzer, www.vinousmedia.com (Jan 2015)
The 2013 Morey Saint Denis en la Rue de Vergy has a rather flamboyant, quite sensual bouquet with perfumed red cherries, strawberry preserve and an intriguing note that I can only describe as that smell when you enter a dentist’s surgery! The palate is medium-bodied with light red fruit, light tannins and a easy-drinking finish that just needs a little more substance. Drinking range: 2017 - 2027 Rating: 85-87 Neal Martin, www.robertparker.com (Dec 2014)
