Vineyard Vignots

Joël has a plot of 60 year old vines up here in Les Vignots, above Chanière, on classic Pommard soils with a lot of iron oxide. A vineyard which faces due south, so tends to get ripe even though high up. There's class in this one, ripe with a floating airy quality. Looks to be a great value offering. Drinking range: 2019 - L&S (Nov 2014)

*Case Price: Mix any 12 bottles of wine or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits or Fortified to get the 'case price' for each bottle.

Medium intensity on the nose. Some solidity on the palate and quite a bit of tannin tucked in here. It’s a luncheon Pommard but it does have some structure and a bit of guts. Drinking range: 2019 - 2026 Rating: 16+ Jancis Robinson MW OBE - www.JancisRobinson.com (Jan 2015)

Rating: 90 Tim Atkin MW, www.timatkin.com (Jan 2015)

Domaine Joël Rémy

A family domaine that extends back five generations to 1853, but which Joël has modernised considerably over the past twenty years, installing new fermentation and ageing equipment.
