Vineyard Champs Perdrix

The 2013 Vosne-Romanée Champs Perdrix Vieilles Vignes is backed up by serious structure and mid-palate density, especially at this level. Dark red cherry, plum, spice and tobacco meld together in a firm village-level Burgundy that is going to need time to soften. The 2013 is impressive, but also far from an easygoing wine. I imagine it will offer a good decade-plus of fine drinking. Drinking range: 2018 - 2033 Rating: 89-92 Antonio Galloni, www.vinous.com (Apr 2015)

*Case price discount: Mix any 12 bottles (or 9l equivalent) of wine or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits, Sweet Wine or Fortified to get the 'case price' for each bottle.

(no new oak): Bright, dark red. Deep aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, flowers and minerals. Rich, sweet and pliant; seamless and sappy, combining lovely fat and precision. Quite suave owing to its vinosity. From the northern corner of the appellation. An excellent showing today. Drinking range: 2020 - 2028 Rating: 90-92 Stephen Tanzer, www.vinousmedia.com (Jan 2015)

The 2013 Vosne-Romanée Champs Perdrix, located at the upper contours above La Romanée and Romanée-Conti, is matured in 20% new oak, has an attractive, expressive bouquet tinged with maraschino cherries and orange sorbet scents. The palate is medium-bodied with taut tannins, crisp acidity, an appreciable sense of transparency, lilting on the finish. Though there is not enormous substance here, this will be a delight to drink over the next decade. Drinking range: 2016 - 2026 Rating: 88-90 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (Dec 2014)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” Visit Website
