56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot. Very satisfying Margaux at this level. Really soft fruit - but plenty of it in the nicely concentrated middle - framed with a good level of dusty mineral texture and grip to keep it well balanced and flowing nicely. This is a great buy for drinkers - one to pop in the cellar (in magnums?) and enjoy in the relatively short term. Rating: 90 L&S (Mar 2015)

Good, deep, blackish ruby. Quite a bit of welcoming Merlot on the nose. Not the most concentrated but very nicely balanced with a light kick of tannin on the end. Good balance of fruit, maturity and price… Drinking range: 2016 - 2026 Rating: 16.5+ Jancis Robinson MW OBE - 2019)

Some freshness, sweetness and inkiness. Correct without being stunning. Drinking range: 2023 - 2033 Rating: 16.5+ Jancis Robinson MW OBE - 2018)

Wonderful depth of fruit and density to this young wine with fine tannins and juicy fruit. Full body and a long finish. Rating: 90-91 James Suckling, 2015)

Dark blackish crimson. Heady, sweet, almost black-cherry aromas which are very unusual in 2014. At first I’m more aware of acidity than tannin on the palate. It’s a strange mixture of almost forced sweetness plus a little sourness on the finish. Not beautifully integrated or balanced - yet. But there is energy and will here. Drinking range: 2024 - 2038 Rating: 16+ Jancis Robinson MW OBE - 2015)

One of a number of very appealing wines from the Margaux commune in 2014, this is a forward, easy-drinking style that's elegant, refreshing and mineral, with notes of liquorice and black cherry, well handled new oak and a smooth, polished finish. Drinking range: 2020 - 2028 Rating: 92 Tim Atkin MW, 2015)
