Good ripe nose, attractively sunny style, with density and minerality too. A fresh almond core, good aromatic definition, and a fine, fresh finish. Drinking range: 2016 - L&S (Nov 2015)

*Case Price: Mix any 12 bottles of wine or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits or Fortified to get the 'case price' for each bottle.

Distinctly greenish straw. Crystal clear. Some sweetness of fruit and creaminess on the nose but, unusually, struck match on the finish. Lots tucked in here. Textbook stuff. Drinking range: 2017 - 2026 Rating: 17.5+ Jancis Robinson MW OBE - www.JancisRobinson.com (Jan 2016)

In the soil sample in Olivier’s excellent collect of soil strata you can see the white marn with its high calcareous level – under the top soil. There is a fracture, so you get this beneath and this gives the freshness and minerality. This is very elegant; pure and silky. It is much more fluidly elegant on the palate than the Chassagne. Floral notes.. It glides. It has grace. The finish is floral and lifted with a note of white chalk at the end. Top notch village wine. From late 2017 Rating: 16.5 Sarah Marsh MW, The Burgundy Briefing (Nov 2015)

(from 40- and 70-year-old vines): Healthy pale yellow. Sexy reduction to the aromas of peach, clove and smoke. Rich, ripe and on the soft side, with an impression of sucrosité buffered by a light phenolic edge. More structured than the Concis du Champs. Rating: 87-90 Stephen Tanzer, www.vinousmedia.com (Sep 2015)

Domaine Hubert Lamy

Olivier Lamy, has built on the solid foundations his father Hubert prepared with twenty years and more of work in the vineyards. Today the Domaine has 18.5 hectares of vines - 80% are Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. The vines are in several appellations - Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Santenay. The reputation of the domaine is now made, but the Saint Aubins, both red and white remain some of the bargains of Côte d'Or, and challenge the supposed superiority of the grander villages on a regular basis, both in terms of young and mature wines.
