Fat and saline. Really good body and weight, but it's the level of savoury salinity that is surprising. Very supple tannins, making it both lush and graceful. Drinking range: 2020 - L&S (Nov 2015)

Seductive aromas of cherry, wild berry and flowers are subtly enhanced by oak spice in this supple red. Beautifully balanced and intense in a seamless way. Good deep, bright red. Fruit-driven aromas of deep cherry and dark raspberry. Dry and brisk but with noteworthy thickness and sappiness; a note of blood orange gives the finish a slight bitter edge in the early going. Finishes very juicy, with fine-grained tannins. Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
