A dry wine with purity and brightness as well as great volume and a firm underlying line of mineral intensity. A wine of considerable character.L&S(May 2016)

Furmint grapes are picked just before the botrytis develops, resulting in a zesty, refreshing dry Tokaji with flavours of green apple and pear. While fresh and focused with fine minerality, it also has enough concentration to enjoy with a variety of dishes. Rating: 89 Christelle Guibert, Decanter(Oct 2016)

An exceedingly elegant dry white made from Hungary's furmint grape, with a gentle tinge of apricot skins and citrus, but defined by its glacial calm and sleek control. I love the chic glass stopper.Victoria Moore, The Daily Telegraph(Aug 2016)

The name Disznókő - the rock of the wild boar - was first recorded in 1413 and refers to a large rock sat atop a small hill overlooking the vineyards. Listed as a "first growth" as far back as 1732, this 150ha vineyard in the south west of the Tokaji region has long been regarded as one of the region's finest.

As with much of Tokaji, Disznókő's fortunes suffered under nationalisation during the Communist era. But, in 1992, it was purchased by AXA Millésimes (owners of Château Pichon Longueville and Quinta do Noval, amongst others) who have reinvigorated Disznókő and put in the love and investment required to return it to the top rank of Tokaji estates.
