Fat, good tension, lots of flavour already and more to come. Good stuff as usual from this impeccable source. Quite intense on the finish the ripeness of 2015 showing in the richness. Drinking range: 2017 - L&S (Nov 2016)

*Case Price: Mix any 12 bottles of wine or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits or Fortified to get the 'case price' for each bottle.

(aged in 25% new oak): Very pale, bright yellow. Lovely hazelnutty reduction and minerality on the nose. A sweet, thick, almost creamy wine with serious palate presence but not outsized or clumsy. Plenty of oak spice showing. (Incidentally, Boillot's Bourgogne Blanc, a considerable portion of which was shipped to the U.S., shows an almost exotic character to its sweet, fat yellow stone fruit flavors leavened by a touch of savory minerality.) Drinking range: 2017 - 2021 Rating: 89 Stephen Tanzer, (Sep 2017)

Rating: 17 Matthew Jukes (Feb 2017)

Jean-Marc Boillot

Alongside the wines from his own vineyards, Jean-Marc also runs a successful négociant business, vinifying wines from the Côte Chalonaise with huge success, as well as other vineyards in the Côte de Beaune. In Montagny in particular, the wine is the best we have found in the appellation, and remarkably consistent from year to year.
