A bright still youthful crimson red, the colour reaching to the edges. The wood seems much more prominent here, as is the acidity, though fortunately matched by an increase in fruit level. A little blood orange, suggesting a richer iron content. Medium plus length. Drink from 2025-2030. Tasted: April 2023. Drinking range: 2025 - 2030 Rating: *** L&S (May 2023)

Nose jumps from the glass. Slinky silky feel, crunchy fruit scent on the nose, and then comes all that 2015 volume. Still quite closed in the middle, but this has a graceful fat fullness. Drinking range: 2021 - L&S (Nov 2016)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
