This 2016 is a great new arrival for us. 'Picture-perfect' Château du Taillan, run by the 5 Cruse sisters has made a beautiful wine in 2016 with a sophisticated feel of suave tannins and a great weight of gently dark fruit. There is a clean-lined, sleek black-fruited edge that dominates but its punctuated with fresh, delicate green herb notes and lovely cedar wood and cracked pepper too. Delicious, satisfying and very 'grown-up' Bordeaux at this price. This is a wine that will satisfy Bordeaux purists as well as impress new explorers of this region. L&S (Nov 2020)

An excellent wine. The taste of this tells you you're getting real Bordeaux 2016 in terms of body and structure, along with enjoyable cassis fruits and a lick of charcoal, slate and salinity on the finish.
