2016 Riesling Feinherb Weingut Bamberger

Grapes Riesling
Colour White
Origin Germany, Nahe
ABV 11.5%

A wine of pure pleasure, ripe citrus and peach with just a hint of kerosene, flows through on to a ripely fruited palate of rich citrus and vibrant mouthwatering acidity, delicious richness but never too much, just balanced and so effortlessly drinkable. L&S (Jul 2017)

*Case price discount: Mix any 12 bottles (or 9l equivalent) of wine or 6 bottles of Champagne, Spirits or Fortified to get the 'case price' for each bottle.

Pretty light and tart for a feinherb! But perhaps this should have been presented before rather than after Petri of Pfalz. Transparent and aperitif style but a little marked on the acidity for the moment. Drinking range: 2018 - 2020 Rating: 16 Jancis Robinson MW OBE - 2017)
