The 2017 Zuani is another superb vintage from Patricia Felluga and her family. On the high Collio hills north of Venice. As ever, it is the same field blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Friulano result in such an inviting wine. The nose is loaded with firm peach, yellow plum, white flowers and citrus. Then on the palate there is a very satisfying weight of hardish, straight-laced fruit. This is aromatic without any blousiness. The feel is relatively rich, with peach flesh, stone fruits, a good acid grip and some perky lemon rind too. A delicious wine that you will love drinking. Drinking range: 2018 - 2025 L&S (Apr 2018)

Lots of different aromas here – grapey and stone fruit and slightly herbal. Firm and fresh. Clean-cut and the dry chalky texture adds complexity to a very fruity wine. Long and stony on the finish. Drinking range: 2019 - 2021 Rating: 16.5 Julia Harding MW, www.JancisRobinson.com (May 2019)

This superb, pristine white, made from roughly equal quantities of chardonnay, friulano, pinot grigio and sauvignon blanc, is reminiscent of pear skin, yellow citrus peel, bay leaves, hard white nectarines and a mountain stream.Victoria Moore, The Daily Telegraph (Mar 2019)

Zuani

Just over 12 years ago Patrizia Felluga left the family business in order to buy her own property in the heart of the Collio and set about her ambition of making a 'terroir' based wine. Working now with her two children, Antonio and Caterina - she is creating beautiful, crystaline wines with great character. Her seven hectares are planted with fifteen to forty year old Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Sauvignon vines, from which she produces just two wines, each the same blend, one of which is oaked. Each variety is vinified separately in stainless steel and blended to make wines which are wonderfully expressive of the vineyard.
