CHÂTEAU BELLE GARDE
|Grapes||Cab Sauv, Merlot|
From a good vintage and always delivering incredible value for money, Eric Duffau's brilliant Château Belle Garde is one of our longest standing listings. Leaf tea, cassis, plum and tobacco aromas are backed by a well balanced palate. Again dark fruited, with some nice tannic structure, this has lovely definition with the tobacco and cedar notes allowing for a sleek finish. L&S (Sep 2020)

Château Belle Garde
The Duffau family have been making Bordeaux at Chateau Belle Garde since 1850. The 46 acres of vines are dotted around on different parcels of land with varying soil types (clay-limestone, clay and gravel and sandy gravel). The majority of the land is situated on the south facing hillside in front of Saint-Emilion. The vines planted for claret are 80% merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
