Really not giving away much on the nose. Tauter and firmer than the Chambertin, there's mineral force here and a lick of limestone on the tongue. Very closed, but slowly some spicy notes emerge - this is all in reserved power and linear drive for now. Drinking range: 2032 - 2050 L&S (Oct 2020)

(also from purchased fruit). As is usually the case, this is spicier and a bit riper with its elegant, fresh and cool aromas of plum, black cherry, anise and soft sauvage whiffs. The mouthfeel is again super-sleek with superb delineation to the highly energetic big-bodied flavors that culminate in a mineral-driven, tautly muscular and bitter cherry pit-inflected finish that flashes hints of both youthful austerity and warmth. This should age effortlessly yet it’s not so backward that it couldn’t be approached after 10 years or so of bottle aging. Drinking range: 2034 - Rating: 93-96 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2021)

More open for inspection than the corresponding Chambertin, Perrot-Minot's 2019 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru delivers a rich bouquet of cherries, plums, sweet spices, espresso roast and rose petal. Full-bodied, layered and fleshy, it's ample and concentrated, with powdery tannins and lively acids. Rating: 94-96 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate (Jan 2021)

Noble imperial purple, the finesse is here right from the start, with a sumptuous weight but this Clos de Bèze is never heavy and the tannins are scarcely present. This flows across the palate magically and leaves the most serenely gorgeous aftertaste. Tasted: November 2020 4/5 stars Rating: 96-98 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Jan 2021)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
