(from La Combe d’Orveau and Les Bussières). A ripe, spicy and alluringly elegant nose offers up notes of plum, violet and discreet spice nuances, especially anise and clove. The racy, intense and utterly delicious middle weight flavors possess a plush mid-palate while displaying fine persistence on the saline-inflected finale where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This relatively forward effort should drink well shortly after release. Drinking range: 2024 - Rating: 89-91 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jan 2021)

Combining fruit from premier cru La Combe d'Orveaux with the grapes of old vines in lieu-dit Bussières, the 2019 Chambolle-Musigny bursts with notions of cherries, raspberries, Indian spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, it's deep and powerful. Rating: 90-92 William Kelley, The Wine Advocate (Jan 2021)

Made up of 40% Combe d’Orveau 1er cru, plus old vines in Les Bussières. Ripe purple in colour, the nose is rather hidden here. Lively fresh raspberry and redcurrant, very good acidity, plenty of energy, well found tannins and the requisite persistence. Tasted: November 2020 4/5stars Rating: 91-93 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Jan 2021)

Domaine Christophe Perrot-Minot

Christophe Perrot-Minot is now the fourth generation of his family producing wine on the estate after his great grandfather Amédée Merme devoted himself to the management and production of wine over 130 years ago. The estate has gone from strength to strength – always keeping the highest standards. Integrated viticulture has been practiced for many years now which has been adapted especially for the terroir. No herbicide or chemical fertilizer is used, instead, Christophe prefers to “stand back and listen to this terroir, only intervening when necessary or when the weather requires it, never systematically.” This is one of the star domaines of the whole of Burgundy.
