(2 barrels made). Firm reduction dominates what appears to be ripe fruit trimmed in evident wood. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors possess a succulent texture while the stony finish is shaped by lemon-tinged acidity. This is sufficiently structured to reward up to a decade of cellaring. Drinking range: 2027 - Rating: 91-93 Allen Meadows, www.Burghound.com (Jun 2021)

From a small plot next to Languettes. Rather lovely with a coconut touch, more about soft white flesh and less on the minerals than some, though it may well tighten up between now and the bottling Tasted: November 2020 *** Rating: 92 - 95 Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy  (Jan 2021)

The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from Les Longuettes and underwent long fermentation. Orange cordial and touches of mango feature on a nose that opens nicely with aeration. The palate is honeyed in texture with well-integrated oak, quite vanilla-y at the moment. Flecks of white chocolate and almond emerge toward the plush finish. Very generous in style, though maybe not the most intellectual in its class. Drinking range: 2023 - 2035 Rating: 90-92 Neal Martin, www.vinous.com (Dec 2020)

Thibault Liger-Belair Successeurs

The lack of the word 'domaine' in the name signals that this is a négociant wine from Thibault Liger-Belair. On the whole Thibault buys grapes having tended the vines with his own team, so that the wines are domaine wines in all but name.
